Custom Desk Organizer for Dual Power Solutions
This custom 3D printed desk organizer combines company branding with practical desktop storage. Created for Dual Power Solutions, it brings together a sculpted company logo, two business card holders, a spacious pencil cup, and a separate front nameplate within a compact 24 × 14 cm footprint.
A professional designer developed the model using the client’s prototype as a visual reference. The design was then refined around the client’s requested changes, including a pencil holder behind the logo, an angled front panel, and separately printed decorative components.
Three Parts, One Coordinated Design
The model consists of three separately printed parts:
- Main organizer body. The base, pencil cup, and two side business card holders form one continuous structure. Rounded exterior edges give the organizer a soft, finished appearance, while straight internal corners keep the card pockets clean and practical.
- Raised company logo. A convex light bulb contrasts with the defined, flat faces of the wrench, shield, and gear. A shaped backing connects the individual elements while preserving the open spaces within the logo. Its reinforced lower section includes a tab that inserts into a matching slot in the base.
- Removable front nameplate. The 4 mm thick plate sits in a shallow locating recess on the angled front panel. It projects beyond the surrounding surface for greater visual definition, with four decorative rivet heads framing the space intended for the company name and service description.
Refining the Model for 3D Printing
The modeling process focused on both appearance and construction. Each revision addressed specific details: uneven logo outlines, unwanted projections, awkward intersections, and gaps between adjoining surfaces.
The logo received particular attention. Its mechanical elements were given sharper edges and controlled bevels, while the bulb retained a rounded front surface. The backing was strengthened, and the mounting tab and slot were dimensioned with clearance for assembly.
Before export, the digital models were checked for closed surfaces, connected geometry, mesh defects, and interference between parts. The sliced logo was also inspected to verify the intended color placement.
A Wood-Effect Finish with a Natural Feel
The main stand is printed in wood-effect plastic, giving it the visual character of timber while allowing the organizer’s integrated shape to be produced through 3D printing. The material also has a wood-like scent reminiscent of real timber, adding a sensory detail to its appearance.
The warm finish complements the contrasting logo and nameplate, making this branded desk organizer suitable for a reception counter, office desk, or customer-facing workspace.
